TCVAL brings various agents together to promote safety in the terminal and its surroundings

To verify effective joint action amongst the various organizations involved in personal assistance and to control any impact on facilities, caused by an emergency inside the port terminal, constitute the main objective of the meeting called by Terminal Cerros de Valparaíso (TCVAL) on its premises along with various local agents.

At the event, attended by Sociber, Customs Agents, Border Guards, the Port Captainship, ONEMI, Firemen, Infobox, EPV, VTP, IST, Merval, ZEAL, Seremi Salud and SAG, TCVAL raised the general plan of conducting a drill, as well as generating ideas and suggestions in advance, from participating external organizations.

Furthermore, the idea was raised of staging a potential emergency situation on the terminal’s facilities, the impact of which could also cover the outside.

Finally, it was concluded that in June a test inside the terminal has been planned, referred to by the ISPS Code as a “Practice”; this involves a staged or mock emergency situation where, in addition to first aid being provided by TCVAL, the essential participation of external organizations will be present when handling the emergency situation.
