As part of the “Tapas y Copas 2018” event, arranged by Inacap Valparaíso, Terminal Cerros de Valparaíso (TCVAL) was specifically recognized as a company closely linked to the school’s human capital.
“As a school of higher education, we would like to reward TCVAL for its active participation and commitment to our academic activities and employability. Furthermore, we wish to thank it for its concern for development of human capital, reflected in the joint projects already in place for some years now with our Training Department”, stated Inacap whilst the award was handed over.
This distinction is reflected in 300 hours’ training, involving 78 workers on 10 courses in various fields, taught to workers of TCVAL and Operaciones Portuarias Valparaíso (OPVAL), a dockage company pertaining to TCVAL, during 2018.
Furthermore, traineeship has been provided over the last few years in OPVAL’s Equipment & Maintenance department, giving local young residents the chance to gradually enter the job market.
