Our history

In April 2013, TCVAL was awarded the contract in the international tender procedure announced by the EPV (Empresa Portuaria de Valparaíso) for the financing, construction, maintenance and operation of the Port’s Terminal No. 2 for 30 years, a process entailing a total investment anticipated as a company of more than 350 million Chilean pesos.


  • April EPV (Empresa Portuaria Valparaíso) awards OHL Concesiones the contract in the tender procedure for the operation of the New Terminal 2 at Valparaíso Port
  • July OHL Concesiones signed the concession contract with EPV (Empresa Portuaria Valparaíso)
  • October TCVAL acquired the first latest-generation Gottwald crane for the Pier
  • November TCVAL introduced to the port community, the Terminal 2 modernization project lines having been presented
  • December
    • The deed for the takeover of control of the pier was signed in conjunction with EPV and the operation of Terminal 2 was officially begun
    • The first port Corporate Social Responsibility board was formed in conjunction with the Municipality of Valparaíso and EPV (Empresa Portuaria Valparaíso)
